Dear Parents/Carers, Well done to Oak class for a fantastic assembly this morning and many thanks to all the parents who came along. We learnt about how to be a good friend and to look after each other. For some of our new pupils who have joined Oak class mid-year it is the first time that they have performed in front of an audience of parents, which can be quite a daunting prospect for some children. However, the Oak class pupils were very confident in their assembly performance and sang beautifully.

Congratulations to all of the children who completed the ‘Bikeability’ course. They all listened well and behaved extremely well for their tutor. This week in assembly they have all been awarded a certificate and a badge which they can wear with pride. This is a great initiative for the pupils to participate in and is all free of charge for the school.

Red Nose Day

Two weeks today is Red Nose Day (24th March) and we need parents to start thinking about which red clothes the children can wear to school. The clothes can be multi-coloured as long as they have some red colour in them somewhere. We also ask that the pupils wear a red nose, and bring along 50p for the charity on the day, if at all possible. We were hoping to sell the red noses here at school, but this is now not possible. In the afternoon of the 24th March, we are having a Talent Show and there will be judges awarding prizes for the most creative presentations. Each class will choose their three best performances to participate in the show on the Friday. Unfortunately, parents are not invited to come along due to lack of space in the hall. We look forward to a fun afternoon with our pupils entertaining us with: songs, dancing, magic, jokes, drama, playing a musical instrument etc….We will make sure that lots of photographs are taken.
