Dear Parents/Carers, Our Year 5/6 pupils have just returned from their residential visit on Dartmoor and they have had a wonderful time. Many thanks to our staff who attended the residential this year; Hannah Bowen, Kerry Bailey and Caroline Hughes-Jones. We will include lots of photographs of the visit next week.

donkeyThe Donkey Sanctuary Roadshow

Many thanks to the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary for bringing along two of their beautiful donkeys last Friday. Maple class thoroughly enjoyed hearing about how to care for the donkeys and they heard all about their lives before they arrived at the sanctuary.

Friday Lunch time Football Club for Years 3-6 with Sports coaches provided by Exeter City FC

Football Club

Due to popular demand, we now have a second Football Club setting up after half term for Years 2/3 which will be run by the same Football coach from Exeter FC as our Friday club.

This new club will run on Tuesday lunchtimes and the Friday lunchtime club will be for Years 4/5/6 only.

If your child is Year 2/3 and is interested to join the new club, letters can be collected from the office.

End of year show

The KS2 End of Year Show has now been chosen and we are very pleased to announce that it is called

‘Shakespeare Rocks!’ written by Steve Titford. All of our pupils from Year 3 upwards will be involved in this production and the pupils who wanted a speaking part in the play have now been chosen.

We are now looking for a talented artist to design our poster and programme for the show.

All we need on the poster is the title ‘Shakespeare Rocks!’ and the design is left up to the pupils’ imaginations. The closing date is the 26th May so please hand it in to the office, clearly named.

Tempest class photos

Due to a clash of dates with the Shillingford Farm visit on Monday, the Tempest photographer has now been rearranged for Thursday, 8th June.

Volunteers needed for watering

If any parents live near Belmont hut, we desperately need a couple of volunteers to water the flowers and plants that are now planted in the new planters. Obviously if the rain continues we are fine, but if/when the weather improves and if you are able to help in anyway please see Jo Kingscott.

Maybe our pupils could just empty their water bottles in to the planters on their way home?

Many thanks for your continuing support,

Ruth Jones
