Dear Parents/Carers, Many thanks to all the children who took part in the Easter competitions today. All of the entries were of an amazing standard and Keith Spencer our caretaker had the extremely difficult job of choosing the winners.

The main prizes will be awarded in assembly tomorrow morning, but all of the children who participated will have a small prize.  

Star team trophy   

Congratulations to the Sandford team with 90 points, who are the winning team of the ‘Star team trophy’ this week.

Other team scores were as follows:

2nd Belmont team with 79 points

3rd Portland with 77 points

4th Clifton team with 71 points

 

Our team point monitors totalled up the team points for the second half of the Spring term and the overall winners were as follows:

1st Portland with 744

2nd Sandford with 703

3rd Belmont with 652

4th Clifton with 618

Well done to the Portland team, who as a special treat, do not have to wear school uniform on Friday and they will also enjoy an extra morning playtime. Please note that all Portland team parents were also notified via text.

 

 

Class with the best attendance this term 

Congratulations to Hazel class who have the highest attendance this term with 96.33%.

To celebrate this achievement they will have the opportunity on Friday to learn about balloon craft by working with Rich Oster from Balloons Inc.

Red Nose Day

Many thanks Newtown pupils and parents who kindly donated £100.00 to Comic Relief. Well done to all the pupils who participated in our talent show and thank you to our judges, Mrs Marshall, Davis and Mrs Mather, we know you had a very difficult time choosing prize winners as all the acts were wonderful.

We are delighted to announce that Magda, one of our meal time assistants is expecting a baby in the summer term. We wish her all the best when she leaves us at the beginning of the new term to start her maternity leave.
